Roman PetraAs you move further into Petra, you enter the Roman section, largely created after the area was brought under Roman rule in 106AD. Tombs are no longer built into the rock face, and instead we see the construction of long, straight roads lined with columns, and buildings for bathing and entertainment (such as the "Theatron")
